The Philodendron Paraiso Verde is a striking and sought-after cultivar, known for its elongated, marbled leaves that showcase a stunning mix of green tones. Each leaf is uniquely patterned, ranging from light minty hues to deep forest green — a true statement piece for any indoor jungle.
This cultivar, whose name means “Green Paradise,” is thought to be a selection or hybrid of Philodendron species native to tropical Central and South America. Although its exact origins remain somewhat unclear, the Paraiso Verde has become a favourite among collectors due to its rare appearance and expressive foliage.
Our current batch features exceptionally well-variegated plants — every specimen has clear marbling and vibrant colour contrast.
Why You’ll Love the Philodendron Paraiso Verde
-
Exceptional marbling: Each plant features bold, graphic leaf patterns — no two are alike.
-
Collector’s favourite: Rare and admired for its elegant growth and eye-catching colouration.
-
Compact and manageable: A beautiful addition to any plant shelf or windowsill.
-
Grows tall with support: Delivered with a stake to guide its upright growth.
Care Instructions
-
Light: Bright, indirect light is best to preserve variegation. Too little light may cause fading.
-
Watering: Water when the top 2–3 cm of soil feels dry. Avoid letting the plant sit in water.
-
Humidity: Prefers moderate to high humidity but adapts well to normal indoor conditions.
-
Fertilizer: Feed every 4–6 weeks during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer.
-
Support: Provide a stake or moss pole for vertical growth — especially helpful as it matures.
What to Expect
Each plant is rooted in a 12 cm nursery pot and comes with a support stick. You can expect healthy plants with 3–5 well-variegated leaves and clearly defined marbling at the time of shipping.
